Do you want to be part of the 24th Raindance Film Festival and get to see how an international organisation runs Europe's largest independent film festival?
We are looking for a variety of roles that will suit people who are outgoing, happy to work as part of a team and keen to gain some work experience.
Each year we recruit around 100 volunteers, a perfect way to get involved for anybody wanting to gain work experience whilst broadening their film knowledge.
Please note we are looking for people who can commit to at least 5 full days or 10 half days between 21 September-02 October 2016.

Volunteer Positions at 24th Raindance Film Festival
General / Stewarding
Stewarding, ushering and invigilation of festival events and exhibitions.
Box Office / Accreditation Desk / Information Desk
You will be the first point of contact for Public and Guests. For these roles you will be able to work calmly under pressure and remain professional at all times. Perfect for those with great communication skills and with a passion for film and large scale events and festivals!
Events / Production / Runner
Helping with the installation, running and take-down of screenings and events.
Marketing / Promotion / Data Capture
Promotional support, e-marketing, social media support, distribution of marketing materials, getting feedback from the members of the public and inputting audience data.
Photography / Documentation
Documenting the events, films and exhibitions through photography and video. Camera experience is essential, as well as your own professional equipment.
Office / Admin
Assisting the festival team in the office with general festival admin including mail-outs, inputting data and collating information.
We invite filmmakers whose work is screening at the Festival to participate in Q&A sessions. Your role as Q&A Host is to meet and greet the filmmakers, make sure they are properly prepared and most importantly, interview them at the end of the screening. For this role we are looking for students in film or journalism (with a good knowledge of film). You will also need to be comfortable in public speaking.
Your role will be to look after guests and sponsors when they first arrive at the Festival, registering them and providing them with all the needed information they may require. You need to be friendly, approachable and calm under pressure.
