Jon Salmon is co-founder of Byte Entertainment and has worked in the industry for over 15 years.
Jon started his career at AOL as an Assistant Producer in the late 90s and went on to launch Tiscali Online TV in 2005, a destination for content creators to distribute film and TV shows. Jon delivered the world's first all-platform release of the feature film ‘Road to Guantanamo’ written and directed by Michael Winterbottom.
While Head of Internet TV at Tiscali/TalkTalk, Jon delivered an ambitious outdoor arts interactive video installation 'The Telectroscope' in London and New York, and directed live music events including webcast of Wireless and Reading Festivals. In 2012 Jon worked with the British Film Institute to launch BFI Player across Samsung connected devices.
Previously Head of Video at Seven, Jon spearheaded the agency’s drive into cross-platform production, producing 100s of videos and winning numerous awards including Best Video and Grand Prix at the 2014 International Content Marketing Awards.
At Byte Entertainment Jon is now working with some of the world’s leading companies to create, syndicate and curate the biggest and best cultural and commercial partnerships between brands, content and talent.
