ROSE ADKINS

CEO, ScreenHits
Rose Adkins has worked in senior executive positions at The Hollywood Reporter, Sundance Institute and Universal Pictures. After Universal Pictures, she oversaw all foreign distribution for Ralph Farquhar, producer of TV shows such as Married with Children and the Real Husbands of Hollywood. Since 2008, she launched her own production and distribution company called TAG, The Adkins Group and most recently, ScreenHits. She studied at the University of Southern California and California State University, Northridge, where she received a B.S. degree in Business Administration. Rose is responsible for the vision, direction, business development and daily management of ScreenHits.

JON AIRD
Producer, BBC Comedy
I've produced websites, videos, TV, games, interactive experiences and social media in a variety of shapes and sizes, including the BAFTA and Lovie award winning Psychoville Experience and the BANFF nominated pilot for BBC Three "C-Bomb". I aim for funny, scary, innovative and engaging. Sometimes I hit.

CHRISTIN BAKER
CEO, tellofilms.com

Christin founded tellofilms out of passion to provide modern and relevant lesbian-focused stories for the under-served lesbian community. With 15 amazing, original tello-produced projects under her belt and just as many in various levels of pre and post-production, Christin is determined to provide the lesbian community with the quality entertainment that they deserve and the stories that they crave. This enterprising and hands-on producer is a storyteller at heart, brimming with timely and engrossing ideas, and she’s determined to bring together the right team to bring each one to life. She also loves sharing tips for audience growth, digital entrepreneurship, and more as a speaker. She just finished directing the newest tello series in post prodoctikn: Maybelle written by and starring Bridget McManus. CHRISTOPHER BINGHAM
Co-Founder, Reboot The People

Christopher Bingham is an entrepreneur who has been an active member of the online video community since his teens. Over the years he has taken opportunities to work behind and in front of the camera as director, producer, presenter and actor. He lectures on Emerging Media Technologies at Ravensbourne University, and is the co-founder of a talent management company, Reboot the People, who represent up and coming online video stars.

SCOTT BROWN
Director
Scott Brown is an Emmy, Streamy and Webby Nominated, IAWTV-winning Director whose work has primarily focused on digital storytelling. His independent web series have been fortunate to receive millions of views and earn him opportunities to create scripted series for CBS Films, Funny or Die, Dreamworks, and many more. Some of these series include Blue Movies (Streamy Award Nominee, Best Director in a Comedy), Asylum (Acquired by BET), Stockholm (IAWTV Nominee for Best Writing and Acting), and Destroy The Alpha Gammas (5 IAWTV Nominations with wins for Best Director and Best Editing, Streamy Nominee best Indie Series, and Winner of Best International Series here at Raindance!) He has also directed over 600 episodes of Larry King Now on HULU.

STEFANO CACCAVO
Content Development Manager, Dailymotion

Stefano is Content Development Manager at dailymotion in London. He recently joined dailymotion to take care of UK Partners development, reach new content agreements and recruit talented content creators on the platform. He received a Master in Public Management from Italian Business School Bocconi University in 2011, and after an experience in General Electric, he moved into the online video industry at the beginning of 2013. He worked at Berlin based MCN Divimove, where he was in charge of business development, and then he moved to London based MCN BuzzMyVideos, working on creators acquisition, audience development and branded content campaigns execution.

JESSE CLEVERLY

Creative Director, Wildseed Studios

Before founding Wildseed Studios, Jesse has worked for the BBC first as Head of Development for Fictionlab then as Head Co Production and Acquisitions for BBC Childrens.  He then spent five years running his own company called Connective Media. Connective both created their own successful IP; such as scripts, pilots and games, and also helped businesses including Aardman, Disney, Working Partners, ABC Australia, Teletoon Canada, and TV Globo in Brazil, to develop and fine tune their own IP.

GENEVIEVE FARRELL
Producer

Genevieve is a writer, producer, director and actress. After graduating magna cum laude from the University of Southern California's Film Production program, Genevieve has written and produced viral videos featured on Deadline Hollywood, the Funny or Die mainpage and The Huffington Post and acted in videos with over 5 million views. Genevieve has also produced branded video content for the Lord of the Rings iPhone game as well as fashion films for BCBGMaxAzria that played online and in North American stores. Genevieve has written, produced and directed nearly 100 videos for Joyus.com, a shopping website with videos airing on People.com and AOL.com. Genevieve recently produced the documentary short film Skateboarding's First Wave directed by Academy Award nominee Don Burgess, which will be screening at the Raindance Film Festival.

SURIAN FLETCHER-JONES
Head of Development, Channel 4 Drama
Surian worked as a freelance theatre director before joining the BBC in 2002, where she then worked as a script editor for the next 8 years. She worked on projects ranging from the acclaimed musical drama series, BLACKPOOL, to the multi-Emmy-Award-winning, 16-part adaptation of Charles Dickens’ LITTLE DORRIT.  She joined Scott Free Films in 2010 as Head of Development, TV, where she worked until leaving to have a baby in 2012. She joined Channel 4 as Head of Development for Drama in 2013, where she’s worked on many projects including Cucumber and Indian Summers.


KATHLEEN GRACE

Chief Creative Officer, New Form Digital
Kathleen Grace is Chief Creative Officer at New Form, an independent venture between Discovery Communications, Brian Grazer, Ron Howard and leaders in the entertainment industry formed in April 2014. Grace is charged with driving the next generation digital studio’s mission to develop high-quality, scripted and unscripted programming for today’s digital audiences. Before assuming her current leadership role with New Form, Grace served as Head of Creative Development for YouTubeSpace LA, a 41,000 square foot facility dedicated to YouTube content creators and collaboration. Prior to joining YouTube, she was Vice President of Production and Programming at Next New Networks, which was acquired by YouTube in 2011. In this capacity, she oversaw the production of original series and spearheaded work with emerging online talent. Grace also has created several notable web series, including the critically acclaimed The Burg and Vuguru’s mockumentary The All for Nots. Grace attended McGill University and is based in Los Angeles, California.

MURRAY GRINDON
Comedy Researcher, Videojug Networks
Murray has worked in both UK television and online content. He started his career working on BAFTA winning series of 'The Great British Bake Off' . After leaving Love Productions, Murray moved to Online content and joined Videojug. He has created a brand new comedy channel 'Quipstar'. A channel dedicated to commissioning young British comedy talents from YouTube and the stand up circuit alike.

TANYA LAIRD
Founder, Digital Jam
Tanya has been working in the digital industry across entertainment IP and innovation for the last ten years working primarily with global gaming and entertainment franchises such as Star Wars, Marvel and Moshi Monsters that have achieved BAFTA, Golden joystick, Develop, Chartered Institute of Marketing, The Queen’s Award for Enterprise (Innovation) and Telly Awards respectively. Tanya also provides mentoring and consultancy to new tech startups across a wide variety of business incubators and accelerators including Wayra, Wayra Ultd, Oxygen Accelerator, The New Entreprenurs Foundation and The School of Communication Arts 2.0. She is also an expert judge for the Future8 awards and an expert adviser for Power to the Pixel. Her work spans across multiple industries and disciplines with one unifying trend: forward thinking innovation.

ALEXANDER LEWIN
Head of International Sales, Maker Studios

With a digital and distribution career spanning 15 years, Alexander brings a wealth of experience to Maker Studios, the world’s leading producer of short form programming. As VP International Distribution & Programming, Alexander oversees all international distribution as well as programming for TV & digital platforms. Prior to Maker, Alexander spent 5 years at VICE, managing the company’s European distribution for TV & Online and overseeing its evolution into a major internationally recognized digital content brand. Earlier positions include distribution roles at Baby TV as well as digital distribution outlet Indivisual TV.

ANDREW LINDENMAYER
Head of International Sales, Zoomin.tv
Andrew has worked in digital media for nearly two decades and is currently Head of International sales at Zoomin.TV. Zoomin.TV produce, distribute and commercialise video on all digital platforms, globally. My role is to work with brands and agencies to help them reach the right audiences on the right video content platforms. This includes sponsorship of shows and creating ad-funded shows.

KATY LOCK
Director, KADA Media
After a 12 year career in television, producing and directing factual programmes for all of the major broadcasters, Katy moved into making web series back in 2008 when a pilot she was developing for Channel 4 was turned down. The series followed Sam, Hilly, Lucy, Lewis & Megan: 5 friends with learning disabilities who shared a house in Brighton and both Katy and her web developer partner Daniel May loved the idea so much they decided to make it themselves for the web, co-producing it with the 5 housemates. Self-funded and edited in their spare bedroom, the series caught the public's imagination, winning 2 Webby Awards in 2010 for Best Reality as well as the backing of the producers of Game of Thrones and Oprah Winfrey who helped make the second series. 'The Specials' transitioned to television in the US in 2014, but remains a web series here in the UK.

HAYLEY McKENZIE

Founder, Script Angel
Hayley McKenzie is an experienced Script Editor in UK television and feature films and the founder of Script Angel (scriptangel.com). Hayley has worked as Development Executive at ITV Studios and script edited on Casualty (BBC), Blue Murder (ITV) and Hollyoaks (Channel Four). Her Script Angel writing clients have gone on to secure development commissions and representation from agents. Hayley has provided script and project development support for Story Expo in Los Angeles, Northern Film & Media, The Sitcom Mission, the Big Comedy Conference and the Craft of Comedy Conference. She writes a regular screenwriting column for Script Magazine (http://www.scriptmag.com/features/columns/script-angel-columns/)and has appeared on numerous panels at the London Screenwriters’ Festival and at the Cannes Film Festival for the European Producers’ Club.


CARTER MASON

Co-Founder/CEO, JTS.TV
Carter has worked in the entertainment industry for over a decade as an actor, writer, and producer. His clients have produced numerous feature and short films, independent series, and new media projects. The reputation and relationships forged through the Carter Mason Group laid the foundation for a creator-friendly business model to gain immediate acceptance by the independent television community.


JOE MCDERMOTTROE

UK Country Manager, Victorious
Joe McDermottroe worked at Google for over 8 years years with almost 6 years of that time being in YouTube. Originally working as a Product Specialist helping to launch formats for advertisers like Promoted Video in EMEA, he turned his attention to the Content side in order to develop new strategies to drive revenue for Partners. At London's YouTube Space, he managed a team who are involved with defining the programmes and initiatives in EMEA that will supercharge the careers of the world’s next big stars who are currently on YouTube or who are starting their careers on YouTube today. He has now moved on to be the UK Country Manager of a US-based startup called Victorious working with Content Creators to help them transform their brand into an interactive app.


HASS MOSA

Executive Producer, Endemol Beyond
Hass Mosa an Executive producer at Endemol Beyond. He started his career in advertising and quickly advanced to TV, working at major broadcasters including; Channel 4 and the BBC, where he was part of a digital BAFTA and Emmy award winning team. Going onto lead the creative and editorial team at SBTV and driving the new wave of content and strategy for the business. His current role exposes him to the fast paced and multi-disciplined modern media environment, where he looks after an ever-expanding creative slate, of a business that is leading a revolutionary charge in media.


THOMAS 'TOMSKA' RIDGEWELL

Creator/Producer
At just 24 years of age, Thomas ‘Tomska’ Ridgewell is a veteran of the YouTube generation. First posting videos online at the tender age of 14, Tom now has over 3 million subscribers and a back catalogue of the funniest, darkest and most entertaining live action and animation stories on the internet. Tom also vlogs on the issues facing teenagers today – including sex, self-esteem, puberty, online pornography and body image.

EMMA SMITHWICK
Head of Drama and Comedy, 40Partners
Emma Smithwick is a television producer and currently heads up the drama & comedy department for 40 Partners, an independent production company. Prior to this, Emma was the Series Producer on Hollyoaks for Lime Pictures - a role that involved effecting huge structural and creative changes to the way the 16-year-old continuing drama was made. Before this, Emma’s industry experience included: a role as Commissioning Editor for BBC Switch; a Producer across comedy, drama, factual & entertainment; a staff writer for a continuing teen drama for BBC Two and an assistant to a film producer in Dublin and Los Angeles. Emma’s academic background is in Law & French.  Given her preoccupation with the craft of screenwriting, Emma is an unapologetic story and script evangelist. She buzzes off working collaboratively with writers of all levels and is always looking for ways to better manage and facilitate creativity.

BRETT SNELGROVE
Content & Acquisition Manager, BuzzMyVideos
Heralding from Australia and now based in London, Brett is a writer/producer who has successfully forged a career in television/digital production, social media and streaming video. He works as the Content & Acquisition Manager at the BuzzMyVideos YouTube network and is YouTube Certified in Audience Growth and Digital Rights Management. He is a founding member of Digital Creators UK as well and a member of the International Academy of Web Television. He is the co-creator/writer/producer of the sci-fi web comedy New Eden.

RAJESH THIND
Documentary Filmmaker
Rajesh Thind is an acclaimed filmmaker, writer and consultant with 18 years of experience across film, tv, web and a range of other media and platforms. Educated at Manchester University and Goldsmiths College, and trained by the BBC and Channel 4, he has been deeply engaged with the rise of digital storytelling, production, and distribution for over 20 years.
