About the 48 Hour Filmmaking Challenge
Raindance are challenging you, and people around the country, to make a short film in just 48 hours.
Whether you’ve made films before or only watched them, this is a great chance to spend a weekend with some mates doing something you’ve (most likely) never done before – completing a film in 2 days.
The winner in each region will get screened at the Raindance Film Festival and receive 2 weekend passes to the festival. An overall Tour Winner will be selected from the 6 regional winners and additionally receive £500 in Pond5 stock vouchers.
The challenge begins on the Friday evening before Raindance comes to town, and finishes on the Sunday evening. The screening of shortlisted films will then take pace on either Tuesday or Thursday of that week. (Specific times and dates are up on the pages of each tour location.)
Register your interest and find out more – email firstname.lastname@example.org with ’48 Hour’ as the subject line.
Registered filmmaking teams will be briefed by email at the start of the challenge.
Each film will have to contain a local landmark or feature and line of dialogue listed in the briefing, as well as a piece of stock (footage, effect, audio etc.) from Pond5.
